Spicy Roasted Makhana/ Lotus Seeds/ Fox Nut
Makhanas is also known as Fox nuts or Lotus seeds. It has got a lot of
health benefits and is hence is considered a superfood. Spicy Roasted Makhana is
one of the most flavoury and spicy snacks with a blend of Indian and Italian
spices.

Ingredients
- Phool Makhana/ Fox nut/ Lotus Seeds 2 Cups
- Butter 1 tbsp.
- Cheese 2-3 tbsp.
- Chilli Powder ¼ tsp
- Chat Masala ¼ tsp
- Ginger Garlic Powder ¼ tsp
- Turmeric Powder ¼ tsp
- Pepper Powder ¼ tsp
- Italian seasoning 1 tsp
- Salt Per your taste
Directions
- In a Kadai add a Tbsp. of butter. Once the butter melts start adding Phool Makhana/ Fox nut/ Lotus Seeds.
- Keep Roasting on medium to low flame for 5 mins.
- Once it is almost roasted, start adding spices and herbs such as pepper powder, chili powder, turmeric powder, chat masala, ginger-garlic powder and Italian seasoning.
- Mix well all the spices with Makhana.
- Now add grated cheese and mix until the cheese is evenly coated.
- Finally add salt and mix well. Spicy Roasted Makhana is ready!!!. Serve immediately to enjoy the crispiness.
Points to be noted
- Change from medium to low flame to avoid burning of Makhana.
- If you are a cheese/ butter lover, you can increase their quantity.
